The older cds like what you have has one setup cd and several other cds for various models. The newer DVD editions have everything on one DVD BUT either way, unless you have the very detailed paperwork that Volvo sends to a dealer with those cd-roms/DVDs that explains the install process, it's doubtfull that you'll get it correctly installed. The written instructions also have a help line # BUT it's for dealer people only and they'll ask for a name and dealer code to insure that they're talking to a dealer person. They won't help anyone else and the install process can be problematic, not like store bought or DLd PC programs made for the masses.
Even with the complete program that we use daily at dealerships for newer cars (later than '99), you're far better off with a good paper manual as Vadis is not a very user friendly program for those who aren't experienced with it.
For older cars like yours, I always use a paper manual when needed over Vadis as do all of the "old timers".
