Battery Brand Recommendations? C70 2000

I'm w/ you regarding std. batteries vs. the better technology in spiral cell or AGM units!
1) What model# spiral cell Interstate was it?
2) How perfect is the fit?
3) Any customization necessary?
4) That CCA spec. is incredibly high!
5) How much / where did you buy?
6) How do you know if battery was "fresh" vs. on the shelf for a year?
