Yes, I took the advise from an earlier posting here and took the vehicle to a local dealer for a software update.
The dealer told me that while trying to do the update, they couldn't communicate with the module and it needed to be replaced.
I haven't heard a good thing about this dealer and they have been unhelpful and border rude. Their answers to my questions sound evasive and uncertain. Under direct questioning they unwillingly told me that I could buy the module and install it myself and bring the vehicle back to have the software installed. It makes me wonder if they really know that the module is bad.
I have tried to reset to module by removing and reinstalling the fuse.
My accessories intermittently come back on, but only for a few seconds. (I know this from watching my fuel gauge.)
Since the module has started acting up, a SRS warning has come up in my message center, the dealer said that I would be having all-kinds of electrical problems until the REM was replaced.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
