STH Solenoid R&R S80

To replace the STH solenoid (what's causing your problem), they need to support the engine, lower the left side of the subframe assembly, lower the left side of the trans and remove the side cover (left axle removed). The job pays 7 hours book time and is not a DIY job for most people IMO. There's a Volvo TSB on this subject, a known problem.
The S1, S2 solenoids aren't a problem so hopefully no one told your that.
