While driving to work this morning, I got the 'Check Engine' light in addition.

I was going to bundle up and either get it on the net, or look for a kind soul like yourself, but... the CE light got me concerned, and went to a local indy to get it done, including the coolant flush. He did recommend ECT sensor change at first, but it never tripped again, so I'll just keep an eye on it (or, he forgot to charge me for it - unlikely).

Thanks very much for your kind offer, however. I would've gladly jumped on your offer otherwise.

One local dealer quoted me $160 for thermostat replacement, $120 just for labor since I had the part. They were going to charge me $40 for a $20 part??? Geesh...

What started out looking like a half-hour job with < $30 for parts, it ended up being $70 (well, that included coolant flush) and almost an hour wait at the shop, not including 3 hours I spent chasing parts plus numerous calls to just about all hardware stores in my area.

Anyhow, now I have heat!
