Security System battery drain V70-XC70 2004

Booyao--I have a 97 850 wagon which I stored at a friend's place prior to shipping it to Norway for my wife's 2000 centennial present. The car stayed in his warehouse for about two months and when he tried to start it to lubricate the engine and what not, the battery was dead dead dead. This was a brand new battery, a sixty amper made for the XC model. After two months it happened again. Had to jump start it. I loaded it on the boat in Oakland, and when it arrived in a container in Norway two months later the battery was totally dead. Had to get a dockside jumpstart to get out of there. I've asked a lot of people if the security system would drain the system and nobody seems to know. In my opinion, yes, it will. Dick
