You've already got the extended warranty, which is a good thing. The only other suggestion would be to keep up with the maintenance (dealer, or local Volvo specialist) and don't let problems go too long without correcting them (e.g. warning messages, transmission and suspension problems, etc). S80 is a great car but it's very complicated with a lot of high-tech stuff (many computers running on a databus) that probably wasn't in your S70. After reading some of the problems posted on the S80 Board, fixing problems before they get out of hand is important with the S80. Once those problems are solved (if they even occur at all), most owners appear to be happy with their S80 (I know I am!)
