Sorry I lost your e-mail address when I reformatted my computer or I would have written back sooner. I still haven't nailed down exactly what car the 3517 sensor is for because like you said the vendors all have a different # for everything, but I know it's not the right one for a B5234 engine (which I assume is what yours is- I forgot to ask). Here is the address of the one that solved my problem. Let me know if you try it. Good luck.
