I have a 1999 S70 with 49,500 miles and will soon be moving to a small town with no dealer or Volvo-specific repair shop. Would the common S70 problems such as throttle body, ABS module, etc. be difficult for a "basic, general" mechanic there to diagnose and repair? I probably won't have the time to do the work myself, so I'll be relying on just a good general mechanic.
The main thing I am trying to decide is whether I should replace the S70 with another car before I move--there should be a market for the S70 where I live given that there is a Volvo dealer and dedicated V-shop.
Thanks.
