If it comes back on and stays on, you won't make it to the inspection site.."driveability issues"; mine just went out, and car wouldn't go over 20 mph. Figure on a thousand bucks or so, plus the tow if you aren't near enough to the dealer to drive it there. If it's intermittent now, assume it will go, at the least convenient time and place. It's a dealer-only item, since they reprogram when the fix is done.
