glove compartment stuck 850

I had the same problem with mine. The release mechanism broke internally. I was able to flex the glove box door sufficiently far to permit a hacksaw to be slipped in, and cut the metal loop onto which the catch fastens. It's not to difficult to do, but you have to be careful about cutting or scuffing the glove box trim.

Once you have that loop cut, the gloove box will open (and you won't be able to latch it until you replace the loop), you can remove the remains of the metal loop, and get a replacement. You'll also need to replace the release mechanism in the gloove box door to repair whatever originally broke. Wasn't too difficult either.. just remove a bunch of scews, and the whole thing comes apart eaisly.

Parts ran me about $60.00 total.
