Hello,

I took my 2001 Volvo S40 to the mechanics to check out why my engine light was on, (non flashing). After $70.00 for checking it out, no problem could be found. The mechanic said the diagnostic code was (16) which had a diagnosis "unknown."

I had a service less than a month before this incident, which included new rear brakes. My Volvo seems to be running fine. However, every time I think about taking any trips, I get uneasy about the mystery code. Have you had any experiences like this, and if so, do you have any clues what might have caused it?
