Oil trap 850 1996

I've asked IPD and Volvo dealers and the same response I got was that there is no flame trap on a Turbo. Turbo's have something called an "oil trap" or oil separator. Its a black plastic box that's bolted to the engine block and its located right behind the intake manifold. I believe the hose right beside the oil filler goes to this oil trap. I bought the oil trap, o-ring and intake manifold gasket. The oil trap is not easy to get to. I thought I would be able to do it myself but since it requires the removal of the intake manifold and subsequently the fuel injectors/fuel rail as well then I am very leery of this as a DIY.
