Thank you for the responses. An incredible amount of helpful information.

I have an '89 740 t that i really like. However it doesn't have airbags.

The car i'm looking at 1993 850 glt w/ 160,000 miles is going for $4000 USD. I haven't looked at it yet But the ad says it needs tlc. Thats not good. I'm up in the air about it at the moment.
