I always jack mine up on the inner ends of the wishbones where the front rubber bush is for one side or the rear of the engine mounting beam for both wheels.
Don't forget to use some other safety items as well ,like axle stands or a spare wheel or similar placed under the wheel.
I never used to bother and one day I was servicing a Ford Granada and had been right under the engine as the filter was at the rear of the engine.I just got out from under to get another tool and it shot the trolley jack out from under and the car went down onto the radiator on top of the jack.
I would have been dead if I was still under there.
I also had to buy a new radiator so I did'nt make anything on that job.
