I have an 93 850 GLT. I'm not sure what socket A-1 checks for, but I do know socket A-2 checks fuel and exhaust among a few other things. It may be dimming because you're not supposed to use that socket...maybe. I tried it on mine and it also dims. Make sure your ignition is off, insert the "test tool" into socket A-2, turn ignition to "on" and then retriev your code. If you still get 2-3-2, according to the Haynes book on repair that's "Long term fuel mixture too weak at idle". Good luck
