Hi,
Since 2-3 weeks, I'm asking myself a lot of questions regarding my suspension... I got this fixation about giving back to the car the smoothness and comfort it originally had...
First question: I read a post lately regarding subframe mount bushing on how it can help removing unwanted vibration in the steering and car body. After 270 000km, with original bushing, it will probably give it a try and replace them. Are they easy to replace? Hard to fit them in the subframe? Do you think it worth it?
Second question: Regarding the suspension itself... I got a hard ride with the car and I think my judgement is misleaded on my suspension status (espacially the front)... I know sometime by just replacing the top rubber bushing it help removing the hard vibration in the body when hitting crack/bump/hole on the road... But I'm a little bit suspicious about the shock/strut itself, especially front suspension... Is there a way to make sure they are in reasonable shape? I did the quite simple test of pushing on a wheel and see if it bump up and stays up (instead of doing up-down-up-down, were now I think you have a bad shock) I dont want to put money on shock/strut while the problem might be more bushing related... Maybe someone can tell is opinion on this?
Thanks again
