Yes, most of the brickers didn't use these tools for several reasons. The major reasons are time to wait for the tools and the cost of the tools.
I waited for about 3 weeks to get these tools and they are ain't cheap. On the other hand, these tools did make the removal and installation of the strut big nuts (star and hex) very easy especially when tightening them to the specific torque mentioned in the Volvo shop manual.
I am now waiting for the alignment tool for the PNP switch replacement. This tool has a even longer wait time !!!!! Most of the bricker don't use this alignment tool. They rely on the "eye ball" and the "backup light" to do the alignment on the PNP switch.
