If your new tires are 205/55R16 then they are only slightly larger in diameter than the 205/50R16's..........The difference in size is not enough to be a concern. You should stay with the recommended pressure for the original tires - whatever that is. Don't forget that you speedometer may be reading a little lower than you are acutally going. Maybe 3 or 4 mph lower if you are going 60mph.
