No Brake Lights but 3rd Lt is OK UPDATE 850 1997

FYI - did some more checking, including a review of wiring diagram in Haynes. Since the 3rd light works, it can't be the brake lt switch. I thought it might be the relay, but when went to the dealer to get a new one, a tech standing around said it was 99% likely the control module in the left light housing. He even showed me where it was. The "bulb control module" looks like a large blue relay. It's real easy to get to but costs a whopping $170. I went ahead and made the purchase, hoping it will correct the problem. It's on backorder at this writing.
