New to 850 850 1993

I have found something called a Muffler Hanger at http://www.autoshopster.com/volvo.php?showcat=Muffler%20Hanger . There are a few oem parts supplier selling similar stuff. But from the picture, I have no idea how it would work or if it is what I should be looking for. The name of the part does seems to be what I am looking for. Does anyone have any experience with hanging back a dangling exhaust?
