Check fuse the fuse for the interior lights (14 or 15 I think it is). When this fuse is blown that infernal chime won't stop. I once drove 120Km with it going before I discovered what the problem was.
If the fuse blows as soon as you replace it check the wiring to the vanity light in your sunvisor....it goes over a very sharp edge on the metal tube bracket that supports the visor.
If all else fails remove the chime....it lives under the dashboard directly under the fuse box with the other relays, mine was light blue with slots cut out of it for the chime to come out.
