This is true. Just be sure to place a soft rag or towel over the clear plastic so you don't scratch up the cluster "glass". I accidentally cracked mine in 2 small places because I rough-housed the cluster back in (right around the odometer reset button, it must have pushed hard against the plastic). Just take your time and rememeber you should be able to do the entire procedure without ever having to use force. Good luck!
