If you're having intermittient problems, you can take it apart and clean out the contacts. They are prone to get dirty over years of use, and then act intermittiently. Hardest part is getting the switchbank out. Then just take your time and use a toothbrush and some isopropyl alcohol to clean them to good as new condition. Good luck!
