Are you refering to the ETM replacement or the electronic throttle module? If so you will need to have it programmed when you stuff it in and the vehicle will not run worth a hill of beans with the new one in it. I have actually gone so far as to drive the car down to the dealer, swapped the part out right there in the parking lot and limped it in to the shop and had them program it. You need to have a pretty good relationship with your local Volvo dealer to pull it off.
