James,
I bought a 1960 SAAB 93 new b/c a friend of mine had a '59 and I was so impressed with his car in the winter that I went out the next week and bought one. I had many happy memories with that car until I hit a truck in Texas and totalled it. Remember adding oil to the gas when refueling? That was good for a laugh in 1960. No oil changes, free wheeling transmission, radiator shade for faster warmups! Yeah, I loved that car. I would've bought another one but service was scarce west of Missouri until you reached the west coast. That 3 cylinder engine was something else. I used to go to the ice races in Pennsylvania and watch the SAABs run away from everyone else (they created a separate class and had to race against each other only). Good times!!
