Antenna help!!! 850 1996

I'm not sure what you have exactly done, but changing the antenna mast is as simple as removing the outer nut that rests at the base of the antenna. Turn on the radio so the remaining mast comes up, at the same time pull the mast so that it literally pulls out of the hole with the exposed threaded tail. Now turn the radio off and at the same time feed the new mast into the hole. Having someone else do this to help is recommended. The teeth of the thread face forward to the front of the car BTW. The job should not take anymore then 10 minutes. The trunk does not have to be opened or anything poked around in that regard.
