Central locking V70-XC70 1998

Having big problems with my central locking. It works fine with the remote control, but not with the key. This also means I cant open the trunk or the gas filler flap from inside the car??. Have taken the inner door panel off and there seems to be no power on the switches. Fuses seem ok! I am now waiting for a workshop manual to arrive. Any suggestions much appreciated.
