Since Ford took over - the Volvo management team in Sweden actually asked the Ford management team to divest them - such was their level of frustration with the Ford bureaucracy. They specifically asked to be sold to Renault - which seems to me like the ulimate slap in face for Ford. Volvo has now started doing rebates almost permanently - which seems like some form of mental disease.
