New motor not unusual - if timing belt not changed regularly and fails, your motor is shot, would either have to rebuild or put in new. Tracs/ABS can be expensive to fix but not required to running of car.

I wouldn't think new motor would have many oil issues yet, check tanny fluid and see if it looks like it has ever been changed. If AC works that about covers the big issues.
