Overheat 850 1996

Since the coolant light wasn't on when you started the car, I doubt you overheated it. I would think it would take longer than 10 minutes to lose all of your coolant out the heater core, which is, I'm sorry to say, the likely culprit. Your coolant light will come on when you are all of 2 cups low...not enough to worry about in the grand scheme of things. Top your coolant, and I'm pretty sure you will see, you weren't that low. I'd probably bypass the heater core for now, and start saving my nickels.
