I put these on every Volvo I've had. You can load it to the gills and the tail won't drag.

I terms of ride...probably a little firmer in the rear, but handling improves as well. In terms of ride hight...a little higher (0.5-1.0") The stock suspension setup is for a mush-mobile and comprises both handling and cargo capacity. Not my preference.
