Thanks for your responses. I have one more question, I spoke to a few parts departments at Volvo dealers and have narrowed down what I believe is the correct part number for the fob I need. I have found quite a few on eBay and ordered one.

My question is this, when I do the procedure I have found here to put the car in program mode, on the fifth click to position two on the ignition the alarm indicator light does nothing. Is it supposed to come on solid as some posts suggest or does that not apply to all years and models? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong in the 5x ignition off and on procedure.
