The service light that comes on at start up and then goes off is nuttin, just a reminder to get your oil changed. Your Volvo dealer will be happy to turn it off every 5k miles for $35 - $100 depending on how greedy they are.

Or buy a gadget from IPD to turn it off yourself.

Or just ignore it like most of us.

Careful inspection is critical to finding a good car. Lack of proper service by the previous owner will cost your big time.
