Antena Problem S70

Norman,
You weren't logged in so I am trying to reach you this way. The mast on both of my cars in the driveway are stuck. The large section comes up and down, but the telescoping section doesn't. Neither are bent. Can the mast just be pulled out of the housing? Without breaking the plastic off the bottom end?

I took the whole thing out of my 850 and played with it. Should I try to take the tube out of the plastic motor housing, or just flush it with very hot water? That assumes, of course, that I can just pull the mast out of the housing.
I think I will try it on my 780 first, in case I break something. Does anything need to be oiled before I put it back together?
