Signs of bad engine mounts! 850

Yes -- I had the exact same issue. I have both a 97 850 T-5 and a 99 V70 XC and both cars have had to have their engine mounts replaced. It is fairly easy for any mechanic to see that the engine mount is worn because the engine will be moving around more than it should, and this mount is literally just a small rubber bushing that keeps the engine in place. The cost for the job in northern VA is around $200 for parts and labor, although I have had some suggestions on this board to go to IPD on the Internet, buy the part for $26 and do it myself. If you go to volvospeed.com it shows you how to replace the engine mount if you do it yourself. This seems to be very common in volvos although I've never had the issue in other cars I've owned.
