Stick with Subaru for AWD

I hate to say it but Volvo's AWD system doesn't even come close to Subaru's.

If you really need AWD, then forget about a volvo with reliable AWD for under $10k.

If AWD is not mandatory, then a '96-'98 FWD GLT volvo is what you should be looking for, otherwise stick witn Subaru.
