Replace automatic shift knob C70

Hi
I am considering buying a 2001 C70. Beautiful car. Just what I'm looking for. My problem is that I have a disability that restricts me from moving the fingers on my right hand. I've noticed that the shifter on the C70 requires that you "squeeze" the shifter to press the button, on the underside of the shifter knob, in order to shift. The shifters on my past cars has been a "T" type, where you push in a button on the side of the "T" which enables you to switch gears.

My question is, can the original shifter knob be replaced with a "T" type knob.
