ECC INTERIOR CABIN TEMP SENSOR - Faulty S70 1998

The dealer is incorrect there is no need to match a new sensor.

You can ususally get away with cleaning the fluff out and using some light oil on the fan bearing.
Note the fan is spun once on startup for daignostics and will then only run when the main fan does, so to test it you need to switch the main fan to a setting other than auto or 0.
