If you purchase an off lease car from a non-Volvo dealer wouldn't without the certified warranty couldn't an individual take a car with less than 50,000 or 4 years old and extend the warranty him or herself? I was offered the extended warranty by Volvo on my 98 V70 as I approached the 4 yr/50,000 mile mark. Sounds like a cheaper way to get the benefits of the 100k warranty without the dealer mark up. Anyone know if there is a difference in the certified program?
