Just fixed the same problem on my 1995 850 - the fix, get the Volvo anti-vibration shim kit from the dealer for about $10-11 USD.

Do this before spending much more on replacing parts parts unecessarily.

This is a know issue- and Volvo has the shim kit to fix it.
