Loose door hinge? 850

The switch is right at the bottom of the door locking mechanism, a piece of black plastic. If the door is not closing all of the way, it could leave the switch loose. To check it, start the car or just put the key in position II and see if the lights go out and the chime stops when you push the black plastic up and towards the outside door handle. It is possible that the switch itself is bad or a wire came loose.
