Volvo OEM pads are the cure. Should be properly installed
following the instructions at http://www.volvospeed.com/bay13.htm
(nothing really special about it -- just a nice reference for
the proper steps).

Online OEM discount parts can be found at many sites. www.volvoparts.com
is an example. You cna use their price to gauge your local dealer
or mechanics price.
