air pump replacement gone terribly wrong? 850 1996

Is the ground wire for the pump conected? If you jumper 12V to the big blue wire and pump does not start, and ground is good, the pump is bad. 850 pumps have a ground wire with an eyelet that shares a bolt to ground with the battery cable. 70 series pump grounds through the big gray conector. You may have the wrong pump.
