AC woes. 850 1995


I would check the clutch too. Mine has the same problem and voltage is reaching the chutch (the overheat switch has continuity). So the clearance in it is too important and prevents the compressor to engage after a period of time.

Check if it is RPM related. For me, when I get to 3500-400 rpm, it stops working.

I would short the sensor first and after, if it doesnt work, I would suspect the clutch.

Even if the 'shorting the sensor' method can be harmful for your compressor in overheating conditions, you would anyway have to change the entire unit to have a good sensor. So shorting it is worth the try. Good luck.
