I know the V70R will effortlessly blow the doors off of my 850, but the I think the value is low compared with other cars for 45K. I also don't like the fact that Volvo cuts the HP/Torque on AT equiped R cars so the tranny stays intact.
I recall a sometime in the late 90s Car and Driver tested and AWD R only to find the same 0-60 times of a regular turbo. They speculated the AWD ate up the extra power. One benefit was a big reduction in torque steer, but for the extra money it sure seemed to be short on value compared the the regular turbo.
