Two weeks ago while i was backing out from a store parking lot, my trans in R mode stopped while i was backing out and and when i shifted to N then back to R, car moved forward instead of reverse. I tried moving the gear level from P - L but still manifested the same problems. When i shifted to drive so I could just go home it seems to slip so i called in a tow service.
My tranny won't reverse when i shift to R. It would still go forward. When i shift to D, it runs but there seems to be hesitation or slippage. I did the volvo style tranny flush as shown on bay 13. It still has the same symptoms. Is this a linkage, solenoid or big time major tranny problem? Is there a good remedy for this, kinda' short on the budget for a tranny replacement?
