Replace 240 with 850?

We love our 850s and have had good luck with them - because most repairs have been done under an insurance policy (most people call the aftermarket policies that one buys for a used car a warranty, but by definition only the manufacturer can offer a warranty)

One rear main seal (before purchase) a siezed caliper, two evaporators, one AC compressor, two ventilation fans, ...

I would have no sense of humor if I had to pay the $3000 or so to have these repairs done.

For the amount that you intend to spend, you can get a NICE 700 or 900 series brick. I'll sell you my '90 744 TI for $2000 - recent pads and rotors all around, new pulse wheels and front sensors, radiator, battery, starter, and steering rack. Heck, the repairs are worth the price. Evander only needs a headliner and driver's seat work. The other 5k will run the car for 4 years!
