How do I know if it has synthetic oil in it? 850

I personally don't see why not. I always read that the change between the two oils is something strange as if the oil causes leaks. I changed mine to pure synth at 50k with zero problems. The car has 95k miles now and runs fine...no leaks. Maybe the reason why people get leaks is that their car may have been abused by a previous owner, who knows?

Unless you do a chemical analysis you won't be able to tell the difference. Suggestion: I wouldn't go dino, because even the owners manuel suggests synth oil. Pure synthetic oil doesn't break down like dino does. It has superior qualities. Indy racers use the stuff because it holds up to brutal punishment when dino will break down. Is it worth the money? You decide? If the manufacturer says to do it, they built the car, I will trust them.
