How well does it do on steep driveway in winter? 850

I used to own a cabin to which the only access was a very steep road. Going downwards the road had a sharp turn left.

In the winter I would have some mild amusement looking a AWD cars driving up and down very quickly in the snow.

Driving up was never a problem for them, but going down many would end going straight into the meadow rather than turning left.

AWD makes no difference when braking and consequently it will not help going down.
